This is your opportunity to dress up like Father Christmas, join in with loads of other Santas and raise money for your school, club or favourite charity
Your entrance fee includes the cost of your Santa outfit. Please see below for a sizing guide.
Outfits will be distributed to runners in the days leading up to the event.
Adults £10.00
Children (3-16yrs) £7.00
Family (2 adults, 2 children) £30.00
The Santa Run is a great chance to raise funds for a school, club, or charity of your choice. We can provide the sponsorship forms, but you’ll handle the collection and donation.
You decide who benefits from your sponsorship; just give us an update so we can track the total.
If you’d rather join for fun and not raise money, that’s perfectly fine too!
Please contact us at friendsofpickeringpark@yahoo.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes, the Hull Santa Run is a family event and we welcome runners/walkers of all ages. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. When you collect your suits we will have a choice of adult, youth and child sizes.
Fundraising is optional, but we encourage everyone to raise money for their chosen charity / team / school if they can. This can be achieved by downloading a sponsorship form or by perhaps grouping together and creating a Just Giving page.
We do ask everyone to provide an indication of how much they have raised when they are registering on the day. This is just for us to be able to quote the total amount that the run has generated for good causes.
Your entry fee includes a Santa suit, but what you wear underneath it is entirely up to you. Last year was really warm and we had people in t-shirts but the year before was positively freezing and everyone had about five layers underneath their red jacket!
What is important is comfortable shoes to help you around the course.
The Hull Santa Run is a fun event and NOT a race. You can choose to run, walk, hop or skip your way around the 2.5K course. Many of our entrants opt to run the course more than once - twice round is a nice 5K morning jog for some.
Remember too, this is also the only annual fun run when a big, round belly is actually a benefit rather than a hindrance!
Starting from the Sensory Garden in the south-west, the route takes in most of the park, including the whole of the lake perimeter. The course measures 2.5km from start to finish so anyone wishing to do a 5K run can simply run around twice.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the course is as accessible as possible. Obviously the weather might have a say but we try to keep the course on hard standing as much as possible. We hope that it is wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
We will have mobile catering at the event with bacon sandwiches, burgers, tea and coffee available. There will also be a raffle and a Tombola stall (of course there will!).
Spectators are more than welcome to come along to join in with the fun.
On-street parking is available on Hessle High Road and Pickering Road. There will be no traffic within the park from 9:30am onwards for safety reasons.
A number of our Santas will be running to support the WISHH Baby Loss Appeal.
