Pickering Park is situated on the west side of Kingston-Upon-Hull.
The park is spread over 25.62 acres and includes a small animal centre; play areas for toddlers, juniors and youths with various play equipment including a trim trail and zip wire; sensory garden; rock garden; football pitches; and an 80-peg fishing lake
We are a group of local residents who responded to a leaflet drop in the area from Hull City Council in 2007, asking for volunteers to set up a friends group to work with them to help improve the park, its amenities and organize events in the park for the benefit of the community.
We never stop recruiting and are always looking to welcome new volunteers to the group, so anyone out there who likes to help organize events, has ideas they think will benefit the park or would just like to help out at event days - erecting gazeboes or looking after a stall - please don't hesitate to get in touch.
For information on the Fishing Lake, summertime paddling pool opening hours, broken equipment (contact council too) and worries about wildlife.
